An important message for our wonderful customers

A note from us

We want to inform our lovely customers about a recent development concerning Classiccotton.co.uk. Unfortunately, we have become a target of a "clone phishing" scam. This involves the creation of a fraudulent website that closely mimics our own, using our imagery, product descriptions, and other elements. These scammers then lure customers with unrealistically low prices on our products. However, the catch is of course that this isn’t legitimate, and you are not going to be getting any products nor your money back.

Be aware: As well as taking your money, this website is designed to steal personal information and financial details. Do not engage with them.

We would like to take this opportunity to stress that the website in question is in no way associated with or affiliated to Classiccotton.co.uk. We are trying our hardest now to get this site removed, however this is an extremely difficult task to do and so we wanted to implore people to make sure that you only ever buy from the URL Classiccotton.co.uk.

We sincerely hope that none of you have been affected by this fraudulent website. As always, we remain committed to providing the highest quality products, exceptional customer service, and prompt delivery.

Thank you for your continued trust in Classiccotton.co.uk.

Yours sincerely,

Sandra and the Classic Cotton team

Clone phishing scams are becoming increasingly sophisticated, with some very large brands falling victim to it as well, but there are still several key indicators to watch out for:

 URL and Domain Name
•  Check the URL carefully: Ensure the URL matches the legitimate website's address.
•  Beware of slight variations: Scammers often use similar domain names with minor differences, such as ".com" instead of ".co.uk".
•  Inspect the domain age: Use a domain age checker to verify how long the domain has been registered. New or recently registered domains are more likely to be fraudulent.

 Website Design and Content
•  Compare with the legitimate website: Look for discrepancies in design, layout, or content.
•  Check for spelling and grammar errors: Legitimate businesses maintain high standards of communication.
•  Be wary of excessive discounts: If the deals seem too good to be true, they probably are.

 Contact Information
•  Verify the contact information: Ensure the email addresses and phone numbers provided match the legitimate website's information.
•  Check for inconsistencies: Scammers may use fake or generic contact details.
•  Check for lacking contact details: If a website doesn’t have any way for you to contact them (a form does not count as this can just not be real) then that is a red flag that that company does not want you to be able to question them and ask for a refund etc.

Security Indicators
•  Look for a padlock icon in the URL bar: This indicates a secure HTTPS connection.

 Trust Your Instincts
•  If something feels off, don't proceed: If you have any doubts about the legitimacy of a website, it's best to err on the side of caution.
